Hoosier Community Network: Projects and Key Skills
At HCN, I worked on the Library - Health Sector project, which involved creating comprehensive dashboards to provide actionable insights for healthcare in Indiana. Key dashboards include the Healthcare Facility Analysis by City and Ownership, Emergency Medical Services Analysis, Finding the Right Hospital for Dialysis Facilities, and Drug Approvals and Company Insights. These dashboards were developed using Tableau for data visualization and Python for data preprocessing, cleaning, and API integration. The project demanded skills in data analysis, storytelling, UI/UX design, and effective stakeholder communication. Each dashboard addressed specific use cases, such as analyzing hospital capacities, response times, and healthcare trends, empowering communities with meaningful insights and decision-making tools.
